RARE Wedgwood Primrose Jasperware Medium Round Tudor Portcullis Trinket Box. A medium Wedgwood lidded round trinket box in primrose and white jasperware. With a very rare crowned Tudor portcullis design with prunus border, it has the words'British Group, Inter-Parliamentary Union' embossed to the underside of the lid. The IPU is global organization of national parliaments so this piece was perhaps a special commission to be given as gifts by the British parliament at an IPU meeting.

Primrose jasperware was only in production between 1976 and 1982 so few pieces are available and even fewer specially commissioned pieces like this. Impressed Wedgwood England marks to the base.

The box is in excellent overall condition with no chips or cracks. Please see pictures for more information.
