Wedgwood Lilac Jasperware Imperial Pedestal Bowl The Sacrifice

  
This is a beautiful Wedgwood imperial pedestal bowl with a rare solid lilac background. The sides are decorated with the applied white classical scenes of the "Sacrifice" pattern. The top is trimmed with a relief band of acorns and oak leaves and the base is decorated with an applied overlapping leaf pattern.

The bowl is in mint condition with no flaws to note. The bottom of the base is lightly incised "Wedgwood Made in England" at its center.

There is also an incised "80" which I believe is a date stamp for 1980 which would be correct since this difficult to find lilac jasperware color was last produced between 1980 and 1984. 7 7/8 Diameter Across Top.
