Lilac Jasperware Aurora and Chariot Display Plate. A Wedgwood lilac Jasperware plate with a central white bas-relief depicting Aurora, goddess of the dawn, racing across the early morning sky in her horse-drawn chariot to announce the dawning of a new day. Aurora wears a half moon diadem in her hair and flying classical robes.
Her chariot is pulled to the left across a cloud by two rearing horses. Together along with a "Ram's Head and Garland" decoration around the edge.
The plate measures approximately 9 1/4 inches in diameter and is stamped'Wedgwood Made in England' on the back. The plate has been previously owned, it is first quality and is in very good condition.
