Jardiniere Cachepot with Four Muses. The bright deep blue cobalt Jardiniere is decorated with crisp white Bas Reliefs. Of Apollo with three muses Terpsichore, Thalia and Calliope and elegant clusters of grapevine supported on traditional lion's head masks. There is a flower border band on the upper rim and simple white border trim next to the base.

The jardiniere is incised WEDGWOOD (only) on the base. It is impressed with an L for the year 1883, before the McKinley Tariff act was passed in 1891.

Jardiniere is 6 1/4 inches. High and 7 1/2 inches in diameter.

No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs and the Bas-relief detail is crisp. As shown in the photo #3 there are two tiny areas where the white border trim is missing near the base. Has light stains inside the jardiniere from normal use. Vibrant cobalt blue, displays beautifully.
