Wedgwood Jasperware Cameo 10K Gold Brooch ORT Gear Logo
Description: A Wedgwood light blue Jasper ware cameo set in a 10K wreath-form frame. The cameo is decorated with white relief in the form of the ORT logo, the "O" gear surrounded by a wreath. ORT is a non-governmental Jewish agency which promotes education and training worldwide.
The organization no longer uses this logo, which made it hard to track down, but I've found a number examples of this cameo, with a number of different dates of manufacture, which suggests they were made over a number of years as a fund-raiser for the organization. Size: 1.5" wide by 1.675" tall.
Cameo is 1.125 in diameter. Mark: Cameo is marked with Wedgwood marks, dated 1970. Gold frame is marked Heathrow 10K Condition: Fine, no wear or damage.
