Wedgwood Jasper Ware Washington Inauguration Sesquicentennial Pitcher (1939)

  

It is a truly magnificent piece created by Wedgwood in recognition of an important mark in the United States history. George Washington was inaugurated as the first president of the United States in 1789 on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York City. The first capital after the American Revolutionary War. A luxury department store and chain, founded in 1865 by Benjamin Altman in New York City.

Pitcher in in excellent used condition. There are no visible damage and/or repairs, just a normal age appropriate ware. The only flaw we could fnd is an insignificant loss of relief on the banner underneath the eagle pic. Please see the attached pics for more details.

All questions are encouraged and welcome. Dimensions: H=4 5/8", top/bottom(Dia)=2 1/2" / 3, L(handle to spout) =4 1/4. Pitcher has a commemorative stamp.
