A helmeted Warrior with his head bowed, stands to the right of the statue of Athena, around whose pedestal a serpent is twined. On the other side stands the Greek goddess Nike, bearing in one hand a palm leaf and the other a plate from which the serpent drinks. The Warrior has been variously identified as Themistocles, Cimon or Philoctetes.
This 100 year old Bonbon measures 4 1/2" tall x 5 1/8" diameter and is marked'Wedgwood England Etruria' in Serif Font which dates the piece between 1905 and 1925 when Wedgwood marked some of its pieces with the'Etruria' stamp.
