Wedgwood Black Basalt Ware Large JOSIAH WEDGWOOD FRS Figurine. Fantastic sculpture based on the Bronze statue outside the Wedgwood Factory - on the back is stamped on the base rim "Wedgwood". Inside base rim is stamped "Made in England" "71" "O" -- These figures normally have gold printing on them as part of the limited edition range but this one doesn't have the printing and therefore may be a 2nd quality - see condition report below.

Approximate size - 22cm/8.75" Tall - 8.75cm/3.5" across base. Good condition no chips, cracks or repairs - BUT SEEMS TO HAVE A SMALL FLAW (imperfection) IN THE BASALT ON THE BASE SURFACE (see last photo) - THINK THIS MUST HAVE BEEN FROM MANUFACTURE?

- NOT MARKED AS A 2ND? But I suspect it was and therefore I have reduced the price reduce accordingly - STILL A FANTASTIC FIGURE.
