Vintage Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasperware Dip Covered Cheese Dome. This is a nice vintage dark blue Jasperware dip covered cheese dome. The under plate is 8" in diameter and together with the lid, it stands 6" high. The lid alone is 5 1/8" high and 6 5/8" in diameter. We believe that the lid and under plate are a marriage.

The under plate is decorated with berries and leaves and there is no repetition of this decor on the lid. It also has brown crazing lines through the applique which is not present on the lid. The plate has a firing crack in the interior and a ground down surface chip on the bottom edge. This piece is not marked and could possibly have been made by another English company. The dome lid is in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or losses.

This piece is not marked, but the lids were not usually marked. Still presents nicely and it is a good size. Please note that all of the items we sell are previously owned unless we specifically state that an item is new. Just friendly "human" personal emails!!
