Vintage Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Planter Cachepot Lion Head Garlands England

  

This is a beautiful example of classic Wedgwood Jasperware in a striking cobalt blue. This cachepot (planter) features the iconic Neoclassical white bas-relief overlays, including ornate grape-and-vine floral garlands held by three majestic Lion Masks with rings. Between the garlands are various muses and classical figures in mourning and artistic poses. Origin: Made in England (Stamped on base).

Color: Cobalt Blue with White Relief. Design: Lion Heads, Floral Swags, and Classical Figures. This piece is in good vintage condition and displays beautifully. Please note the following for accuracy.

Exterior: The blue dip is vibrant, and the white reliefs are crisp and well-applied. No significant chips or cracks are visible on the exterior body. Interior: Shows natural signs of use and age, including some staining/discoloration from previous use as a planter (see photos).

Base: Features the impressed "WEDGWOOD" and "MADE IN ENGLAND" marks. There are some faint, age-related hairline surface marks on the unglazed underside (see close-up photos), which do not appear to affect the structural integrity of the vessel.
