A large Etruscan-shape water jug in sage green dip Jasperware, manufactured by Wedgewood between 1890 and 1910. This is -I believe- the largest size pitcher manufactured by Wedgwood. It is a #6 (denoting the number of pieces of this size which would fit into a sagger for firing). It is decorated with white relief of Sacrifice Figures. The pitcher is 8.75" tall and 6" from handle to spout.
Condition: a few scattered fat stains (tiny brown spots) inside the mouth of the jug below the spout and on the bottom. Mark: impressed on the bottom, WEDGWOOD ENGLAND #6.
