Fine C19th Antique Wedgwood 9ct Gold Mount Jasper Ware Neoclassical Cameo Brooch

  
An antique early to mid Victorian period Wedgwood Jasper Ware neoclassical cameo brooch or pin in a 9 Carat yellow gold mount with gold safety chain. The brooch measures approximately 1.7 ins (43 mm) high x 1.2 ins (30 mm) wide and has a weight of 17.7 g and fastens with a tube hinge, over long straight steel pin and'C' clasp.

It is made from dark blue and white jasper ware and depicts a forward facing scantily clad classical Greek goddess. The back of the cameo is impressed WEDGWOOD and a symbol.

The mount has the Maker's mark C&F LD for Constantine & Floyd Limited and 9 CT while the safety chain has a partial gold mark. All are in very good clean condition with a very small manufacturing flaw at 7:00 o'clock which is barely visible and does not detract (see pic 4).
