Antique Wedgwood Large Dark Blue Jasper Ware Jardiniere The Muses

  
Probably Edwardian in period but may be slightly later. Produced using the jasper dip method. The body is decorated with bas relief of The Muses and there are Bacchanalian garlands falling from lion mask heads. Around the rim is a band of rose type flowers.

Approx 8 inches high x 9 inches diameter. Externally in very nice condition. There is some staining to the inside due to use.
