Antique Wedgwood Cobalt Blue Founding Fathers 9 Inch Jardiniere c 1860+

  
For your consideration is a rare piece of cobalt blue jasperware, the jardiniere model 317 depicting the likenesses of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and the Marquis de Lafayette. Weight is just over 11 lbs. Marks: Wedgwood only and the Etruria mark. Condition: very good and consistent with age (at least 130 years old) and use.

Every angle of the jardiniere is photographed. Besides a few scuffs to the blue dip and petite fractures to the relief, these are the noticeable issues: to the right of Franklin, there is a spot that is shiny. In the relief of Lafayette and a bit in Washington, there is blue coming thru the relief. One of the brackets has a bit of rust on the bottom. The significant flaws that I referenced are contained to one area near Franklin.
