19th Century Wedgwood Jasperware Round Covered Butter Dish. The butter dish measures 1 3/4" to the top of the rim and 3" to the top of the finial on the lid, and 4 1/4 in diameter. The underplate is 6 1/2 in diameter. Condition - There are no chips or. Cracks, other than a few minor breaks in the relief.

As you can see in the pictures, there is discoloration, particularly on the bottom, inside and out. The lid and the underplate are silver plated. The lid and the top of the underplate are in good shape, but the back of the underplate does show some wear.

There is a lot of light and some shadows on the silver that might cause it to appear to have dark spots or damage. Other than the back of the underplate, what you are seeing is just reflections of light. The bottom of the jasperware is marked "Wedgwood" only.
