1891 Antique Wedgwood Deep Cobalt Blue Jasperware Porcelain Handled Pitcher EX

  
This is not a small creamer. It is large enough for serving milk or cream for company. This jug weighs around 2 pounds. Wonderful applied white appliques that show the translucent edges of earlier Wedgwood, not reproduction pieces. Marks: WEDGWOOD (Used from beginning to 1930) with serif type style.

12 - probably the model number of this particular item/piece. A star or flower impressed. I don't know the significance of the star shape/flower that is impressed, I suspect 12 is the model number of the item. Dates were indicated by letters which I don't find. There is a story here but I don't know the significance, of a man on one side, reading a letter?

And a woman on the opposite side. There are pillar type designs on other sides, and an emblem/shield with ribbon type design.

The upper border and handle is covered in ivy vine, there is a different decorative border on lower edge. A nice big piece, Wonderful for serving milk or cream for a family gathering/buffet or a dinner party--or to display in your antique or blue color scheme! Terrific price for a beautiful example and not as common pitcher design.
