Antique 1895 Green Wedgwood Jasperware Covered Cheese Dish

  

From an Avid Wedgwood Collectors Personal Trove! Beautiful rare vintage Jasperware covered cheese dish. This piece, consisting of a plate and domed cover, is in very good condition with minor faults consistent with its age. There is a small chip about 0.5 cm running along the outside white band of the plate: however because it runs in the direction of the band the eye does not easily detect it and it does not detract from the beauty of the piece. There are minor cracks in the leaves on the top of the dish, and some minor staining on a few of the white figures.

The glaze inside the dome and on the plate looks pristine. The plate is 9 1/4 W.
