Scarce Wedgwood black basalt bust of William Shakespeare. Believed to date circa mid 19th century. Measures approximately 32cm overall in height. There are several scratches over torso including one rather deep, a large hole to underside and a crack running through the back. Please refer to photos to make your own analysis of condition.
Marked Wedgwood STZ S to underside of base. Recently appraised by auctioneer experts. He began preparations for the business at the age of nineteen and it has significantly progressed since commencement of trade.
