Wedgwood Rare Tri-Color Silver Plate Mounted Jasperware Biscuit Jar. A rare and very finely made antique Wedgwood tri-color jasperware biscuit jar applied with silver plated mounts dating from the 19. The stoneware jar stands raised on a narrow round foot and is of wide rounded shaped with a concave central band and applied with a silverplate top rim with recessed cover and swing handle. The body of the jar is decorated in tones of lilac, green and white with a lilac colored lower and upper body with a central panel set between a simple raised white border applied with classical figures within a continuous landscape with trees and potted shrubs and a sheep and peacock. The figures comprise of classical ladies in flowing gowns with one with a while and with winged putti in various activity.
The scene is applied in a white slip and is very finely detailed and applied against an olive-green ground. The top edge is applied with a border of white slip acanthus leaves. The biscuit jar has an impressed WEDGWOOD mark to the base. Provenance: Acquired from the UK Art Market.

All items, where appropriate are surrounded using appropriate soft fill chips, biodegradable whereever possible, and help make the contents safe and free from impact risk. All edges of boxes are fully taped and all are finished with FRAGILE warning tape. Multiple Items On occasions clients may wish to order a number of items being delivered to the same address and we will ensure that these are packed into a single or multiple boxes ensuring that the safety of the contents is not jeopardised.
If this is not possible we will ensure that the client is advised of when to expect dispatch of their item. We always expedite using the most efficient and effective service.
