Rare Antique Wedgwood Jasper Ware Mapping & Web Boxed Pastry Knife Set (c. 1930s)

  
Very rare vintage set of six pastry (dinner) knives with the original fitted presentation case. Each knife has a Wedgwood pale blue jasperware with white "Acantus" relief pistol-shape handle, stainless steel blade and. Flower decorated silver-plated connecting neck rings by. Five of the are completely identical, whereas the sixth one is very slightly different and bares a different (earlier Mappin & Webb mark, please see below).

We cannot say anything about the set history. It is certainly possible that many years ago one knife was replaced by its nearly identical "older brother".

All knives are in excellent condition, and, most likely, have never been used. Case is also in very good condition, but there are some signs of ware. Overall, the set is an excellent and impressive example of.

All questions are encouraged and welcome. Knife: L(overall)=8 1/2"; L (blade & neck)=5 1/4" L=4 1/2", blade L=3 3/4 & W=1 3/4"; handle (jasper) L=3 1/4" & W=5/8" - 3/4. One (older) knife has slightly different shape and dimensions, but the difference is so insignificant that cannot be translated in inches (at least at the +/-1/16 accuracy). Box: 7 3/4" x 6" x 1.
