Huge Light Blue & White Antique Victorian Jasperware Cheese Dome Stilton Dish
A lovely Antique late 19th Century pale blue and white Jasperware Stilton Cheese Dish and Cover. This is decorated with classical figures. For scale I have added a standard size drinks can to the image... It measures 12" or 30cm in height with a base diameter of just over 10" or 25cm. This is in generally very good condition for its age, however it does have very small issues. Firstly, the blue is worn a bit around the top. There is a small firing crack which occurred during the production of the piece on the underside of the base and therefore does not affect the appearance at all. There is a really small chip to the base which you can see by comparison of the scale of the white decoration that it is very small.
