Wedgwood Primrose Yellow Jasperware Jasper Egyptian Sphynx Square Trinket Box

  

This charming Wedgwood small square trinket box is crafted in a gorgeous primrose yellow Jasperware, a wonderfully rare and highly collectible colourway. The box is beautifully decorated with crisp white bas-relief Egyptian motifs, heavily inspired by the historic Egyptian Revival style. The top of the lid features a finely detailed, majestic winged sphinx, while the sides of the base are adorned with a repeating winged scarab beetle emblem. Measuring a dainty 3.5cm tall and 4.25cm wide, it features the usual impressed Wedgwood marks to the base.

The trinket box is in good condition with no chips or cracks, though it is currently in need of a gentle clean to truly bring out the vibrancy of its matte primrose background.
