Wedgwood Portland Jasperware Blue Engine Turned Plate Infant Academy
Portland Blue Jasperware The Infant Academy Plate. A Wedgwood Portland Blue jasperware plate featuring a central white bas-relief depicting the painting entitled'The Infant Academy' after Sir Joshua Reynolds which was modelled by William Hackwood in 1789.
The artwork shows a nude boy sitting before an easel, with oval canvas; another child sits for her portrait; on one side of her is a child placing feather on cap, and another wrapped in a gauze veil. The plate measures approximately 10 1/4 inches in diameter and is stamped'Wedgwood Made in England' on the base. The plate has been previously owned but it is first quality and is in very good condition. Terms and Conditions and Other Important Information. We cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
