Rare Large 18th/19th C. Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasperware Crater Urn Bough Pot

  
This was made in England and may be 18th c. Given the arced nature of the impresses stamp. Though it may date to the early to mid 19th c. There is a tremendous amount of applied decoration on this- adding to its rarity! And of course it is their ever popular deep blue Jasperware.

Dimensions are 13 W from handle to handle, 9 1/4 H x 9 1/4 D. Condition is very good for its age. There are three small chips along one edge of the bottom which I have pictured, and one minute chip on the underside of the frog cover.

And a few are cracks in applied white decoration which I have also shown. It is marked underneath with the Wedgwood impressed signature. This piece truly has all the bells and whistles of a rare Wedgwood piece and really is a must for serious collectors! Its scale and focal point appeal truly make it an exceptional piece!
