THIS IS THE WHITE ON BLUE JASPER WARE. THEY WOULD BE 19TH CENTURY MADE. THE FRAMES ARE NUMBERED 1,2,3 AND 4 ON THE BACKS LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE ACTUALLY FRAMED BY WEDGWOOD. THE DIAMETER OF EACH ONE IS 3.5 INCHES AND WEIGHS 5.5 OUNCES. AS YOU WILL SEE FROM THE PHOTOS, THE FRAMES COMPLETELY COVER THE BACK AND ARE SCREWED IN PLACE AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM.

THE OUTER BORDER BEADING IS JUST A BIT LARGER THAN THE BEADING ACTUALLY FRAMING THE MEDALIAN. IT IS A BIT OF STRING THAT IS USED FOR HANGING.
