Antique Wedgwood 19th Century Blue Jasper Jasperware Teapot SYBIL Finial WEEPING WIDOW 6-3/8. Scarce antique Wedgwood dark blue jasper dip teapot with what is called the "Sybil" or "Weeping Widow" finial to the top, in the shape of a lady. This would have been made in the later part of the 19th century.

The bottom is impressed with Wedgwood, and from what it appears like the number "759" and possibly the letter "R". Condition: In very good antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. One small pottery stress crack line in the interior on the strainer that is natural from the making and not actual damage.

If there are any other minor flaws they would be natural from the making also. Some unevenness on the spout's edge is also from the making. Overall this teapot's condition is quite impressive considering its age. Appears clean but may need some additional light cleaning.
