Antique 1864 Wedgwood (only) Cobalt Blue Jasperware Portland Pitcher Jug 5-3/8. Scarce antique 19th century Wedgwood cream/white dark cobalt blue jasper dip "Portland" pitcher/jug. Featuring scenes from the myth of Peleus and of Thetis, mother of Achilles.

The bottom is impressed with Wedgwood, the number "24" and the letters "RTS" dating this piece to 1864. Condition: In good antique condition.

Bottom of spout shows some repainting from an old repair (pics #6-7). There is one pottery stress crack in the interior (pic #8), one by the handle where it connects to the jug (pics #9), and two on the white relief (ex, pic #10-11). These pottery cracks are natural flaws from the making. If there are any other minor flaws other such as specks, minor imperfections, they would be natural from the making also. No other cracks, chips or repairs.

Appears clean but may need some additional light cleaning. Approximate measurements: 5-3/8" tall, 4-1/8" wide from handle to spout.
