Antique 1864 Victorian Wedgwood Jasperware & Brass Inkwell G Betjemann & Sons

  
A Victorian Brass Inkwell, mounted with a complete Wedgwood Blue Jasper ware frieze, decorated with four separate Classical scenes, including The Archers - Pegasus and Cupid. It has another Wedgwood Blue Jasper ware plaque in the centre of its hinged cover. It is stamped with its makers name on the underside of its hinged cover - G Betjemann & Sons - Registered - 328 it also marked with a diamond registration stamp, dating it to 13th December 1864. It is mounted with four rope borders of differing widths and has retained its original brass mounted glass liner. It measures 3 1/4 or 83 mm high and has a dished base, which is covered with green felt. Measuring 7 or 178 mm wide It displays beautifully and is in a good used condition, as shown in photo's.
