Wedgwood Blue Jasperware & Brass Dolphin Tripod Inkwell Ormolu G Betjemann 1872

  
Rare magnificent a ntique Inkwell made by mounting blue jasperware Wedgwood Dolphin Tripod Pastille Burner on the large custom made brass base, manufactured by George Betjemann & Sons (BG&Sons), decorated with three embedded Wedgwood neoclassical cameos. It is in excellent used condition, without any visible defects aside from some stains and fire cracks, and come with a felt pad.

Dia = 8 7/8 (brass base), 4" (inkwell body), 3 1/4" (opening). Dia(cameo sight) = 1 3/4. Cameos are marked: "WEDGWOOD" (only). Inkwell lid has the British Registry Mark (Type 2) with "26", "H" (April), and "I" (1872) and the B.
