6" h x 4.25" top dia, c. Chalice form in bolted construction of black on terra cotta jasper.

Top border of interlaced ribbon & grapevine above floral swags and vertical acanthus leaves alternating with tall reeds. Impress: Wedgwood England (WWE) used from 1891 to about 1910 when England (WWME) was added to the mark from the on. Harry Buten is the author of Wedgwood ABC But Not Middle E, 1964 and founder of the Buten Museum of Wedgwood in Merion Pennsylvania.
