Antique Pre -1850s Wedgwood Cobalt Blue Jasperware Tea Set

  

Antique three piece tea set made by Wedgwood. We believe this set was made around the 1820s but you will have to be the judge. The pieces and their condition are as follows: Wedgwood tea or coffee pot.

Stands approximately 5 1/2" tall x 10 1/4" from spout to handle. Marked Wedgwood with two non alphabet marks - one in front of the Wedgwood and one below the word Wedgwood. There is also a number 6 or 9. The piece is in very good condition for its age.

It is glazed on the interior, the interior holes for the tea has yellowing from the tea when poured and discoloration along interior top from the tea. The interior cover rim has two small chips. The exterior has light surface dirt on the cover from the tea and misses of the cobalt blue on the rim which we believe was done in the making. There are tea stains on the exterior where the former owner did not clean the pot extensively - down the front of the spout to the base. There is cracking of the white leaves around the top and bottom of the handle. Please review all the photographs as they are part of the description. There are no other chips, cracks or crazing. Sugar with lid stands approximately 4" tall x 5 1/4" from handle to handle. The cover has a small dot of cobalt miss done in the making, interior of the sugar bowl has surface done by not being thoroughly cleaned after use. The underside of the sugar bowl has yellowing.

In very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Marked Wedgwood with the number 30 and the letter L?

Creamer has glaze wear and porcelain discoloration at the spout. The underside of the spout has a tiny paint flake.

The white leaves have cracked at the top of the handle. Marked on the underside Wedgwood, possible S, E and another mark. Stands approximately 3" tall x 5 3/4" from spout to handle.
