Wedgewood jasperware has continued to be a popular collectible especially over the past year. Normally found in the light blue and sage green colors, this company produced items in a multitude of different colors and combinations throughout its history of over 200 years. One such color that never seem to gain traction in the retail market was the solid gray.

This color was introduced in 1960 for trials only and then had a very short run in 1991. It was discontinued that same year due to unpopularity with retail buyers. Hence, today very few examples in this color exist. Being a neutral hue, gray Wedgwood exhibits beautifully with any other colors of jasperware. A somewhat large example for grey, this milk pitcher stands 5 7/8 tall and measures 6 1/4 from spout to back of handle. Thorough examination reveals no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. I see no staining on the inside or outside from use and can find no missing relief in the design. A fantastic example to fit in any collection right here at your fingertips!
