Wedgwood Jasperware Collectors Society Framed Plaque / Medallion #1

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a nice vintage Wedgwood Jasperware porcelain medallion/plaque framed in a decorative wooden frame with gild bezel and outside edge. This plaque was produced as Special Edition # R67 for the Wedgwood Collectors Society in the late 1970's.

The round plaque has a light blue jasperware background with white classic scene of maidens standing with a winged horse in relief and is mounted onto a dark cobalt blue velvet backing. The back of the frame has been covered with a solid wood panel with a cut-out exposing the information "Wedgwood, Made in England, R 67". There is also a brass ring for hanging. Frame measures 4 1/4" square and 5/8" deep. Plaque measures 1 7/8 in diameter.

This lovely framed plaque is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minimal signs of wear. There is one very tiny unexplained shiny spot on the blue background that is not a chip and is hardly visible but is mentioned for accuracy.
