Description: A great, limited edition glass goblet produced by Wedgwood Glass (formerly King's Lynn Glass) in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The bowl is blue crystal, the foot clear. The bowl has a cut punt surrounded by a cut laurel wreath. Into the center of the punt has been set a light blue Wedgwood Jasperware cameo of the great English artist George Stubbs, who was a close friend of Josiah Wedgwood's and who did some modelling work for the factory, much of which wasn't put into production until the late 20th century. These goblets were usually made in runs of 250-500.
This one is apparently one of 500 based on my research, as the paperwork unfortunately didn't come with it. Size: 5.25" tall 4" in diameter at the mouth, 3.5 at the foot. Mark: WEDGWOOD ENGLAND mark in center bottom of foot. Condition: Fine, no wear or damage. Please feel free to ask any questions you have about this item and please check out our other auctions/listings for great and unusual ceramics, glass, and other items.
