Wedgwood Blue Jasper Ware Large Dish Crown Silver-plated Cover Stand c. 1900

  

Rare antique Wedgwood light blue jasperware covered Butter Dish with a sterling silver cover, very massive yet elegant stand (holder with under-plate) and white Sacrifice to Ceres (or "Sacrifice Figures") relief. Dish has stain inside and on its bottom pics. Overall, the dish is in excellent used condition - we could not find any visible damage chips, cracks, repairs, etc.

Dimensions: dish: Dia=4 7/8", H=2"; cover: Dia=4 3/8"; stand: Top/bottom Dia= 5 1/4" / 7 1/4", H=3"; overall: H=3 1/2 (3 with lid/cover), top/bottom Dia=5 ½.

Dish is marked: WEDGWOOD, England, and some other potter marks. 1900, cover is marked: "A", "E", "F", "&", "S", and "E P N S" (shield), stand is marked "CROWN", "Sheffield Collection", used in the 1890s.
