Rare Wedgwood Jasperware Bert Bentley Neo-classical Medallion Cameo (c. 1890s)

  
Antique Neo-classical Wedgwood Jasperware Cameo Medallion by Bert Bentley c. This medallion features a neo-classical profile of a women with a crown of laurel leaves. It measures approximately 1 1/8 x 7/8 and has an elongated octagonal shape. On the reverse it is imprinted with Wedgwood in all caps in a serif font and above that an elongated O which was the early artist mark for Bert Bentley. The words England or Made in England do not appear on the piece at all.

There are two small flakes missing from the back of the work (See photos). There are also some small glue marks on the back and the top edge. We believe these remain from an early setting (See photos).
