Exceptional Wedgwood Jasperware Angels Dolphins Sphinx Lamp by Marboro

  
This is Wedgwood Jasperware lamp in a very rare combination of colors, tan and chocolate brown. It was made by Marboro lamp co. It is a dual socket lamp, probably from the 1940s.

It is decked out in Wedgwood at its classical best, angels surround the top of the column, three dolphins support the center shaft. The bottom of the column in adorned with alternating cameo profiles and sphinx. The original shade is included.

There are 2 of these lamps, the second has a crack in the center column, and a broken dolphin which needs to be reglued in order to be used. Shades and lamps will come in separate boxes.

The good lamp has a socket which has been wrapped in electrical tape. Works fine, just used to tighten up the brass socket which has small splits in the brass cover.

Both lamps are mounted on original mahogany bases. Lamps stand 25 1/2 tall. Shades taper from 8" wide at top to 14" at bottom.
